What kind of scopes are used on these rifles? I'm considering Hawke or UTG-Leapers in 3x9 or 4x12 but I'm open to suggestions. Prefer to stay under $200
I just remembered that I'm paying $4.98 for this. A $200.00 scope seems disproportionately expensive.

One suggestion but I don't own one (yet).https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/hammers-3-9x32mm-ao-air-rifle-scope?a=1017438This would be ~$60 for me and at the upper end of my spending budget for a cheap springer. Solid one piece mount that I could modify by adding 2 additional dovetail clamp screws and 8 tube clamping screws should keep the mount & scope from slipping even on Magnum springers. Scope is supposedly "rated" for air rifles (I can't confirm that) and has the basic features I would want for this rifle.I prefer to shoot several hundred pellets using open sights on any new springer I acquire. I can gauge the rifles performance (good/bad for my needs) without the complications of slipping mounts or scope internals that jump around from the double recoil. Once I'm confident the rifle is accurate/consistent I'll consider scoping it to maximize my range. If the accuracy gets worse after adding a scope then I know the scope is the problem.
For anyone NOT used to shooting springers be prepared for extreme disappointment. Learning to UNLEARN everything that makes you a great pumper, PCP, or PB sniper, and then learning NEW shooting techniques to get good springer accuracy does not come easily to many people. Took me over a year with several different springers and many thousands of pellets to BEGIN to understand how to properly shoot them. A little over 4 years since getting my first break-barrel and I'm still learning and improving my accuracy. It is EASY to put pellets through the same hole with my pumpers, CO2, and PCP rifles. Springers are always much more difficult to shoot accurately and I never get results quite as good as the other rifles. Still, springers are my FAVORITE type of air rifle to shoot. :-)
The 1100S that I received yesterday would not cock out of the box.It cocked fine when I removed the action from the stock, so I put 'er back in.Worked fine ever since.Odd........
