I bought this Weihrauch HW55 new in the late 80’s maybe early 90’s. Bought so many Weihrauch’s back then I can’t remember for sure. They were being discontinued and I had to have one. It instantly became my Favorite airgun. Shot it in leagues along with a RWS 75. The 55 was and still is a show piece. Always wanted the Tyro but I shoot from the other side. Should have bought one for the wall!

Mine is a Gen1 Travis tuned Mrod 25. Hasn't faltered in 4 years since he tuned it. 980 fps, 50 fpe 40 shots on regulator. Got it when they first came out. Of course, he added balanced valve, opened ports. I added 24-inch LW polygon barrel extended shroud, Huma reg. and Donny FL. Deadly accurate out to 100 yds. Have killed 2 hogs with it, one at 50 yds and one at 125 (had to shoot him twice). Plus, many many Hosp.

For me it's also my.25 Marauder. I've got it in a Boyds stock and have done some work to it,it is a tack driver!

Changes daily! :D :D ;D

Hands down my Hw30s. The one I enjoy shooting the most between the two is my plane Jane peep sighted model. So I guess that's my favorite. I can shoot accurately for hours and it keeps me giggling like a girl the whole time.
Next would be my scoped Hw30 because it picks up were the peep sighted one leaves off. I'll shoot the scoped one for fun out to 100 yards. Has a whopping 2 lbs of energy left but it's fun as heck to hear it go tink when it hits a can or spinner at 100yds. It's the challenge that makes it fun. Anyone can shoot a 30 caliber PCP a hundred yards. Well almost anyone ;)

The one I have in my hands at any given time.

A Benjamin 342.
They are a virtual "time machine" to me.
Put one in my hands and I suddenly transported into a 12 yo kid back in the '70s

My RAW HM1000x LRT .22 tuned by Ken Hicks of SPAW. He tuned it to shoot 18gr JSB @ 950fps quietly and accurately (if I do my part! LOL).

For me, this is a difficult question. My "favorite" depends on the activities planned and the weather, as I have my favourites for each occasion. My top three (no particular order) would include:
Diana 54 "Pro", Benjamin Marauder and HW97K.

Best Answer!

I bought this Weihrauch HW55 new in the late 80’s maybe early 90’s...
I love that 55! is it Ambi or lefty?
If I could pick a favorite I probably wouldn't own so many airguns, but this modern HW50 tends to be the one I shoot the most.
-
I've had the gambit of springers and my favorite is still a stupid Gamo Accu I bought cheap. It shoots what my yard allows (65M) in a ragged hole, in stock condition. Never owned another Gamo that was worth keeping, but my Accu is an absolute prize.

My favorite gun is the one I decide to take out of the safe and shoot. My favorite always changes from week to week.

Changes daily! :D :D ;D
;D yes ! Depends on my mood etc etc...
Still that's a dull answer, so let's play the card.
I have owned many airguns, still own many airguns and will own many future airguns. But the one thats a keeper and I always grab first is my .177 CZ200s Hunter. Nice carbine / compact / portable and delivers enough power for my needs. And is not a huge air consumer (+/- 80 consistent shots @12fpe).

I really like the muzzle weight on your Hw50. What's it made of? Where did you get that from?
Thanks

Absolutely agree!
I often extoll the virtues of my Leshiy and my wife's Lelya, I praise the Fortitude non-stop, and I am growing extremely fond of my Caree Ultra and SPA M25, both in .35/9mm.
However, I must agree the favorite airguns in my household are mostly pumpers, in particular for me it is the Blue Streak I bought off Mitch (SSBN617). My wife would say it is a toss-up between our rear-cocker 1322 pistol and the 2400KT, since these 3 guns are shot the most, by far. A distant 4th is my wood-stock 392PA, and trailing in distant 5th is my Hatsan 95QE. The PCPs are all loved and enjoyed, but the stuff we pick up the most right now is the pumpers.
I'll probably add a 760 pumper to that list once I get a new barrel from Crosman; it blows me away how good th 760 can be with a good barrel.

Hi Ron,
It's an aluminum Apex 10" I found on the ARH site a few years ago.
-
The one I have in my hands at any given time.
That is my exact words because they are all of my favorites.
-
It’s a ambi. It was a 55M and I removed the cheek piece. It felt strange on my left hand.
-
P-Rod carbine. Small, light, accurate and handy. With a Neil Clague LDC it's so quiet I can shoot it all day long and my neighbors can't detect anything.
-
Ho boy, favorite.....
Of the ones I have ?
Of all the guns I had ?
Or what would be the theoretical favorite if I had the cash to get it ?
:) :) :) :)

LOL as said before, it's like asking a mother who is her favorite child.

LOL as said before, it's like asking a mother who is her favorite child.
I am so glad that I can actually choose in this instance, because I know how it goes.
If you ask me what my favorite jacket, pocket knife, hammer, or fishing reel is I could never give a straight answer.
-
Out of my current collection today I'm saying my Stormrider/CR600 hybrid. Super light, superlative accuracy, easy to hand pump, and very consistent with the regulator and bit of tuning I've done. On a different day I might say our Eagle Claw, but part of that is the excellent Hawke scope.
-
no projects at the moment, but all them I get to shoot and tinker on!!
Wish I still had all that have come and gone over the years! lol
And I don't mean expensive.
I had a blast fixing up my very first B3.
And I had a fine shooter in a Crosman 795 Springmaster.
Miss the Ruger Air hawk, and Crosman Fury springer.
-
My Walter terrus .22, it’s a mid end gun but the best I have.
-
Vintage... My 1955 Crosman 140: it's been in the family since it was new
Modern-ish... Daisy 880: light weight, easy carry, easy pump, accurate and nostalgic for me
-
Crosman Challenger rifle
P17 pistol
I shoot targets from 12 to 29 yards.
-
My experience with air guns spans over 50 years. Co2, spring, pneumatic, and PCP, I have them all. But my favorite would be my Benjamin 312.
-
Walther LGV Competition Ultra. It looks great, heavy but well balanced, Has a Rowan match trigger and shoots more like a PCP than a spring gun. BSA R10 Mk2 made it a tough choice, but I shoot the Walther way more.
-
Everytime a new gun comes into my possession it becomes my favorite.... at least for awhile.... ;)
-
For the last 20 years my favorite has been a CZ Slavia 631. Hey, maybe I should call myself Slavia on the forums.
-
Mine is an older Diana 34 that went baxk and forth between several members on the Dianawerk Collective forum. I eventually sold it to a dear friend there only to have it gifted back to me out of the blue. Besides being a nice shooter it is a constant reminder of the good times I shared with friends in the air gunning community. If I had only one gun (and I have a lot to choose from) it would be that old horse, hands down.
-
I do have PCP's but most of the time I shoot springers. I enjoy them all even the finicky ones. As for a favorite, it's the Weihrauch HW97 in 177 caliber with the Weihrauch HW95 in 22 caliber a close second.
-
I'd say it is my .22 Air Arms S510 Extra FAC Ultralight in Hunter Green. The thing is just a tack-driver and has variable power wheel, so I can shoot it in my basement at 400 fps or dial it up to 950 fps for hunting out to 80 yards or so. If I really concentrate and rest it well, it'll shoot 1/2" groups at 50 yards with JSB Jumbo Heavy.
It's the older unregulated one, but it gets 35 shots on a fill, which is good enough for hunting and several weeks of rush-hour pesting in the back yard. If it got much more shots, my pellet and air bill would go through the roof.
I added a TKO moderator, as it still had quite a crack when the power was dialed up. With the moderator, it is 49" long, but still pretty light. If I mounted a humbler scope, it would be even lighter yet. (that's a Hawke Vantage 4-12x50 on it)
It has smoked MANY squirrels, over the years. Well over 50, I'd say.
Attached is a pic showing the rifle with 3 nutters it drilled this past Saturday.
