Hi.I poked around on the Daisy 1101s and it seems to be a Snowpeak Air b11.It also appears that BAM had a b11 before SPA, so they may manufacture the b11 for SPA, or not. (Mysterious!)I had never heard of this model but the good reviews make me think it might make an easy cocking, accurate 12ftlb yard sniper.

Cocking effort is in the 30-35lbs range typical for and adult springer shooting in the 16-18fpe range. Some Walmarts carry them for $63 everyday price.https://www.walmart.com/ip/Daisy-Model-1101S-Break-Barrel-177-Cal-Pellet-Spring-Piston-Air-Rifle/275479847The Winchester branded 1101s (same rifle) were clearanced for $29 in a few of my local stores and on Amazom back around July 2019.IMO these are good value springers at $63 and a steal at $29. They can be a little rough but respond well to a tune-up and trigger work (if needed). Expecting anything more from a $63 springer is inviting disappointment ;-)Edit: One could probably de-tune this rifle to shoot well in the sub-12fpe range? IMO this rifle is too large to make a practical sub-12fpe springer. If sub-12fpe were my goal I'd start with something a little more compact like an Airhawk or a Blackhawk, or something in that size range. I picked up a used/refurbed Airhawk which had a weak (cocked for a year?) spring that shot around 11 fpe. It was so nice to shoot I decided to leave it as-is! The Beeman Black Cub I have shoots around 10fpe right out of the box. That was $50 Walmart grab. Overall worth that price but the trigger is a very HARD (8+lbs) direct sear style and non-adjustable. Not recommended for anyone wanting a lighter trigger pull.
I believe you're right. Were you looking at the one with the plastic thumb hole or standard wood stock. I have a Win. 1100W and 1100S. Also got the old Hatsan made Win. 1000 and 800.I believe Snow Peak became Bam then XS and then SPA. You see some SMK. That's the importer for the U.K. Fun stuff.
To me, it makes no sense to buy a dedicated 12 fpe gun, at least if living in an unrestricted market, and not participating in FT with 12 fpe limit. This is because even the hairiest magnum can be detuned to whatever power level, as per PelletSport's example. So, with a high-power gun you have the option of any power level. With a gun designed as a 12 fpe, you're stuck with the low (or lower) power.
