Oh, I did just get what appears to be part b to fall out. So I can replace that spring. I guess I am going to start cleaning it out and see where I get, but any further info would be appreciated.
Where exactly do I put this special sauce?

Oil every moving part and seal you see.
Serious.
You can not "over oil" these guns short of flooding to the point of hydro-static lock-up.
They will shoot out the excess and thank you for it later.

It appears you haven't removed all the innards, including the intake valve. A diagram on this web page will show you how the parts go together:

Sometimes dried oil and crud make it difficult to get everything out; be patient and don't forget to polish the intake & exhaust seats for a reliable seal.
