Found it, this is the bottle connector inside my gun. It was fully "modified" by the previous owner and I just smoothed out the edges and worst dents and left it as it was. Surprisingly it works rather well. You can see the small hole at the bottom, there were six of those feeding the valve in the stock gun. The connector is drilled out to 9mm both inside and the angled hole according to my notes. The tunnel feeding the valve chamber is also bored out to 9mm. This mod is enough to allow 210 fpe with 21" barrel so you should be able to reach 240 fpe with your 28" barrel.BTW, if someone knows where I can buy such male/male M18x1.5 threaded connector let me know - I would rather like to replace it.bottle-connector by abbababbaccc, on Flickr
And to further twist the teat, he had the rifle sent out via UPS. I guess something wasn't done right on the forms because it ended up being sent back to him. :facepalm:I paid 112 bucks. When I sent it to him via USPS, it didn't get held up and it only cost me 72 bucks.

That is getting down right ridiculous, first lack of communication and information and then the gun is detuned almost. I'm saying it, sounds like a scam or incompetent tuner. I hope you get the gun back and at least the barrel is good. Marko

MarkoIt is steel but I don't know what steel it is. I have considered making a new one that has thicker shaft in the drop block to make up for the lost material when that 9mm hole is drilled through it, alternatively longer threads with current diameter and known good material.
What a shame to hear about your experience Paul. I had higher hopes for the feller and thought you would get a rifle back that gleemed the short comings. Keep us posted.
quick question: how does one degas this rifle?
Quote from: VaporTrail on November 02, 2022, 08:22:40 PMquick question: how does one degas this rifle? Slightly nudge open the foster fill connector or gauge unit.

Slightly nudge open the foster fill connector or gauge unit. Many thanks, rkr! I was looking over the rifle just now, and it appears the transfer port and the barrel port could be bored out just a little more. I'm thankful that they have matching diameters, at least. Now I'd really like to find another tuner that would be able to work on this gun further. It appears more can be done to let her breathe a little better.
Grand total spent? $659; that's shipping from me to them, tuning, and then shipment from them out to me.

And it is totally stock!

As I said it's the bottle connector that limits the airflow. Bigger ports will not help if you feed the valve via six poorly positioned 2mm holes. Six 2mm holes equal only 5mm TP in diameter and you should be looking at 8mm or 9mm TP to make good power. If those holes could be drilled to 3mm then you could use 7mm TP and likely get to 150+fpe with your 28" barrel.
