More splitting and stacking 🪵
My deck in Lucerne valley the nails use to come up all of the time and when I replaced them with screws they would snap off the head of the screws. Had the same problem with screws in the wood fence. We also had highs in the 110f in the summer and lows in the teens in the winter so that might have had something to do with the problem.

I will have to borrow/rent a splitter for the knotty stuff

They are not afraid of manual labor. They make me proud
Today I went snowshoeing, that was a superb day for that. A mild -23°C (-9.4 °F), light gusts of 10-12 mph, and a super bright sun. I walked about an hour and a half, and really needed a shower when I got back home .
