You may get get over that infection of Magnumtititus….if your use is shorter ranges and smaller critters or plinking tagets or spinners...do you givwe your self "pluas points" fore how far they spatter a paintball or how many times a spinner twirrles around with a center hit?Power DOES have a place...but normal back yard shooting/everyday shooting is NOT that place.(But I am reminded, that if you are limited in home-range and have the urge to experiment, then about the only think you can experimentwith is energy per shot or efficiency per sting. HAve a feeling that the energy-whores are not interested in shot count/ uniformity, or what I would consider useful trajectory/energy over the shorter range many of us actually use airguns for. Then again, it got up to 82F here (south Louisiana)today...so a perfect day for co2. MY afternoon's shooting didn't suffer any from uaing co2...but it's one of the reasons I live where I doi by choice.
The one thing that can hurt it is dry fires. It can crack the poppet.
