Quote from: Back_Roads on February 04, 2023, 10:33:51 AM I predict I will be shooting shotgun groups today, if the rabbits cooperate that is, will be taking the Wing Shot out on a hunt today I like the idea of the wingshot, especially with the CAP upgrade, but the shot shells are so expensive! Does the barrel tolerate steel shot?

Does the barrel tolerate steel shot?I buy 25# bags of #8 shot and reload my own for the Trapmaster. I have a 3/8 hole punch to punch out the wads.

Possibly for shooting trap/skeet if the Double Shot is powerful enough for that (or if CAP figures out how to make their upgrade work for it). There's pros and cons to each, but the Wingshot II is the more compelling of the two besides the lack of reusable shot shells.

IMO get the PBBA Pro 20, or Gamo 20 ga they say they are coming out with. Wing shot is limited, but I did get 1 bunny vs the 12 ga's 3, so I donated to his pot for helping reduce rabbits on the farm.

I have been looking at the SWAirguns shotguns as well as the Umarex Primal 20 which is supposed to be the same design built under license. They mention an "Invector" choke, which should mean it can be unscrewed and swapped with a different choke for shot vs the included rifled choke. If so, it's a 400-500 FPE gun with shot, so .410 territory and should be good for small upland game. The only thing I question is the patterning using just a couple of over and under shot wats in the magazine. Modern PB shotguns work so well in part due to the plastic wad and shotshell design. Can you really replicate that with what is essentially musket style shot loading? I like the idea otherwise, just wonder if it suffers from the same puff of air issues as the Hammer.
Shooting the RM377 and the Firecat out the side door of the bar, from the bar...I love this bar. Where else in the World can you sit at the bar and shoot your guns out the door?
