I love a cheese pizza with mushrooms. She hates mushrooms. So tonight she is having a cheese pizza with veg and I’m having a cheese pizza with mushrooms.

BB Guns and Such / Re: Shooting big bugs with BB guns« Last post by airgunaut on June 20, 2025, 08:01:49 PM »Crickets. The big fat black ones are not as fast as the skinny brown ones that prevail later in summer.
I would not care to kill them except that they sneak indoors, where I wouldn't shoot a gun other than at a pellet trap. Instead, I hover over one on the floor with a piece of duct tape. Sometimes I put the tape down and seal the edges against the floor to make the trapped cricket easier to entomb a few hours later. More often, I try to wrap/entomb the thing in one move. It's not easy to do. Stomping on them is only slightly easier and leaves a mess on the floor that I've never been able to clean to pre-squish condition. They stain concrete. Now that I have a Model 25, when this infernal wind goes away, I should sit outside and wait for a cricket to venture onto open ground. 93

Back Room / Re: Good morning! Are you up yet? What's your plans for today?« Last post by Sqrl Klr on June 20, 2025, 07:49:20 PM »Brett that looks like a mighty fine day congrats!
Madd I forgot to tell you in the other thread use a dolly to haul the dog food bags next time as that's much easier. I keep one in my garage. 95
Back Room / Re: So....Whatcha Eating?« Last post by airgunaut on June 20, 2025, 07:46:45 PM »Had a ham steak for dinner. Never again in the summer. It had so much salt in it I was dieing of thirst all night.😕 I hate foods that are already heavily salted. Prefer to add to my own taste and need for electrolytes. These days, I sprinkle a little salt on watermelon. 1800 mg sodium in one serving of ham is a LOT. 96
Air Venturi Airguns / Anyone Shooting NSA Slugs Thru Avenge-X .22? What Dia. Size?« Last post by mwgm2020 on June 20, 2025, 07:46:01 PM »I'm still testing (playing around) different pellets and slugs in my Avenge-X .22. I want to try some NSA's but each weight comes in 4 different diameters, and I don't want to buy 4 different boxes of each weight.
If you are shooting NSA from your .22, what sizes are you having the been results with? I know each barrel is unique, but maybe I can narrow the choices with your results. 97
Welcome New Members / Looking for Crosman AS2250XT CO2 seal kit« Last post by RJohn29569 on June 20, 2025, 07:45:48 PM »Internet searches have come up empty and apparently the CO2 seal kit made by Crosman AS2250XT is obsolete. Looking for help locating this item or older thread that might lead me to replacement seals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hatsan Airguns / Re: Hatsan Flash-R QE question« Last post by Blowpipe Sam on June 20, 2025, 07:43:13 PM »I spent a couple of hours this afternoon testing a H&N sampler pack of .25 caliber slugs in the Flash-R. I was testing some pellets as well so I actually only tested the 28 grain and the 30 grain slugs. Results were encouraging. I got a six shot cluster at 18 yards that measured 3/4”. Not stellar accuracy but the hammer spring is adjusted fairly weak on this gun and velocities were in the high 600’s. All test were done with the single shot tray and I did my best to see to it that the slugs entered the lead as concentric to the bore as possible. I’m hoping that some of the longer (heavier) slugs in the assortment will stabilize better but I’m definitely going to increase the hammer spring tension.

Back Room / Re: So if you didn't do anything airgun related what did you do today?« Last post by Sqrl Klr on June 20, 2025, 07:41:09 PM »Brett that's one heck of a breakfast to make up and a lot of cleanup from the sounds of it too. Congrats on the good day with the main squeeze.
Sam that food sounds great and good on the crew showing back up making progress. Bill that's how I cut stumps too so I can mow over them without grinding any blades. No need for stump grinding that way. Got a water hose and reel from the store along with some spray nozzles. Removed a winter spigot cover and almost got stung by 3 wasps but thankfully the wasp spray kept them from tagging me. They had a palm sized nest in there. Hooked up everything and all works well. Got a ton of mowing done and already need to do more tomorrow. I remember I only used to have to mow twice a week during the summer but I've been having to do that ever since the beginning of spring this year. Ridiculous. At least I got a rat with the mower after chasing it down 60ft. Quick death via guillotine chopping off the neck and head. 100

Eggs with Cajun seasoning and jalapenos for breakfast! Cold yummy cantaloupe, red grapes and watermelon out of the fridge for lunch to cool me off after mowing. |
