The sun was too hot and harsh to play outside so I ended up in the workshop mucking about.
The result was a plywood stock added to my Webley Typhoon pistol really a Hatsan pistol.. Quite a big pistol. Now it is 630 mms long with a 160 barrel.
Works pretty well with open sights but had to try a scope.
I have an old Tasco 2- 7 x 20. It is 7/8 inch diameter so had to make up spacers for it to fit 25 mm rings.
Still getting that sorted out because the pistol has quite a bit of barrel droop. Even then the scope might be no good but time tutuing will tell. Just a bit of fun. Pity about the photo, still haven't mastered that.
There are some rabbits, about 5, on the side of the road to the park. I pull up and they just sit there and look at me about 12 yards away. Well you get the idea but no. Public road, shooting from a car. Maybe another car comes along. Not going to shoot there so I will just have to be content with looking.
The next day.
The little gun is shooting pretty well. One ragged hole groups at 12 metres if I don't mess up. That is not too bad for a cheap $150.00 springer pistol. Much better with the stock than without. That is just the steadyness of it. The pistol has only been taken apart once because it got very wet. No tuning at all but it has had a lot of shots through it.
The Tasco scope is a gem. Very clear sight picture. Makes my centre point , no capitals, really look like the junk that it is. The gun doesn't look very deadly because the stock is made of treated Radiata pine with a couple of coats of clear water based varnish. Dries very quickly. The good bits are that the modification cost absoluetly nothing and it shoots well and is a fun novelty gun.
I wonder if I will get around to making another stock just to make it a bit jazzier.

This little gun is satisfyingly accurate. Not very pellet picky but likes AirArms 8.44 gns.
It is extraordinarily hold sensitive. A change in the forehand hold changes the point of impact and quite a bit.
Best hold is holding the pistol grip as if one is shooting a Glock two handed. Stock is gently snugged to the shoulder. Just a dinky little fun shooter.
