Hi,

This is my first real post after getting into the forum and just introducing me. I am happy to have something to do during this pandemic time and this i one of my favorite things to do. Being out in the nature and just concentrating on something else on the side of working and sitting at home  ;D

Name: Ari
Airgun: Hatsan Flash QE .22
Sights: Hawk Vantage 4-12x40
Pellet/Bullet: NSA slug .217cal 17,5gr
Position: Benchrest seated, bag under stock.
Score and Group Size: 49 (with 4x, 1,12CTC)

I was shooting this at Prickly Pear Shooting Range on the 100yard range. The wind was consistent on this shot group but a small gust got the last one flying off  >:( Althoug I have to say it was not too bad, because I was shooting this with slugs. Would have been a lot worse with normal pellets. Will post pictures of the range and setup later.

On a side note too. This was my first time of shooting with ,217 slugs from the gun and I was extremely surprised of the accuracy on them. I tested with a other manufacturers slugs too during that day and went from 17,5gr all the way up to 25gr. I was testing H&N, FX, NSA and JSB knockouts. I have to say I was very happy with the way the gun shot the slugs.

Welcome to the match Ari. Nice shooting with a .22. Shooting at 100yards is always fun and a challenge.
I see you didn't use a GTA target but scaling off the ruler in the picture it looks like the rings are pretty close to the GTAs so I'll  accept it for this match. As for the scoring you have a solid 49/50 but it looks like there is only 3X since  one looks like it is touching the line which doesn't count as a X.
This match is scored a little differently.... if the bullets footprint touches the line it's scored to the lower value. We do this because the same target is used for all calibers and this helps level the playing field a little.
In the future if you can please use the GTA targets for submissions. Thanks

Hi,

Thanks! After posting this I found the real targets for using on the sharpshooting. I was just so excited to get posting  ;D

Now when I have a few printed out  I can go to the range again for more shooting fun. Will be posting in the future more with GTA official targets.

Great shooting Ari.

Trying to get motivated to get out there and give it a go this match. I need to remove some tall weeds downrange roughly 30 to 35 yards at the end of the 100 yd range before I can get out there.

Marty, what's the last day of this match? 26th/27th?

Went out to the McBride range today, mainly to practice 50 yard shooting with my Daystate Huntsman but the wind wasn't too bad so I tried shooting a few 100 yrd. targets.  The best I could do was a 47/50.  Even though the wind wasn't bad it was very uneven and swirling as it came over the side burms and across the overhead baffles.  I'm turning in a target I shot the last time I was out on 09/01/20.  It's a 50/50 but the X's eluded me this time.  There ARE five shots on the target.  There is an elongated hole at 5 o'clock, where the number 10 is.  That's two shots.  I'm still playing with the 25 gr. JSB's and trying out different speeds.  I think I'm narrowing it down to somewhere between 890 and 930 fps.  My son is on our air rifle team also and decided to try the NUAH.  He shot a few targets and qualified on a couple of them.  I think he had one target that was all in the 10 and 9 rings, so he should be joining the NUAH club when he gets around to posting the target.  He did it with his Daystate Huntsman .22 and JSB 18 gr pellets which I thought was pretty good considering the goofy wind we had today.

Missed the last match and was late for the one before that. I might be able to do better but I’m happy with this target. Although...

You guys are killing me with your 50’s. And I’m not trying to say anything but did you really need three X’s Ari?

Whatever... here’s my measly sub MOA (and not even in the running) submission.

***I know humor and sarcasm are tough to relay online so let me officially state that the above comments should be read as heavily sarcastic. I love the competition and trying to keep up with you guys. Way to go everyone!!!

Shooting Date: 09/05/20
Shooter: Tom Boylan
Distance: Outdoor range; 100 yards
Gun: RAW HM1000x .22 caliber
Optics: Vortex 6-24X50 FFP
Ammo: JSB 25g redesigns
Wind: 1-3 mph
50/50; 1X; .997" CTC
Position: Bench Rest seated; Rear Bag and Accu-Tac G2 Bipod

Have been shooting over on AGN for the EBR 75 and 100 yard target challenges.  It is a lot of fun, but very humbling with some of those seasoned BR shooters.

Have only shot a couple of NUAH targets for September and my RW Safari .22 is having some issues, and I may need to send back again to AoA to fix under warranty. Shot this one with the RAW.  I may get out again before the 27th, but if not I will use this one for September.

Congrats on some fine shooting here to all the others!!

Tom

Been along time since I've gotten behind the trigger. Shot about 14 targets this evening and here's the best of the best

Jimmy Fussell
FX Boss
Sightron 10-50x60 on 30 power
.30 cal JSB 44.75 gr straight from the tin
Standing Bench Bipod w/rear bag shot at night w/calm to no wind
Score 50/50 3x 0.90" ctc

Will post the other targets it took me to get here in a separate post

This one here was a killer. Wasn't sure if it would qualify for a 4x? Those dang .30 cal pellets are hard to get in there without touching a line? So I didn't submit this one.

“ Seven” 50/50 cards!! Jimmy, this is outstanding.

One of your practice cards was a 2X and you gave yourself only a 1X.  On the one card with all 5 holes in the bull ring, you were soooooooo close to getting “five” X’s.  You really were pretty close to getting a perfect 50/50 -5X card with that one!!  Darn those holes touching the lines.

Glad you got out and were able to shoot.

Does anyone know where “one” might be able to buy a new a Boss?

This one is very very close.  The left most hole may or may not be touching the line.  I can’t tell.  If you have a scoring plug, it might make it easier.

Thanks for your input Tom. I actually shot 14 cards and those seven were the best of the best.
Here's 3 more cards I shot and 4 cards in a group that weren't worth measuring.

Good target Mike.  My RW Safari .25 liked 900 FPS on medium power with the JSB 25g .25 cal Kings.  Different rifle I realize, but it did shoot well at that speed.

Looking forward to your son posting some future NUAH targets.  I sold my Huntsman Regal .22 Huma regulated rifle to fund the Safari.   Big mistake, but there is the Revere for future consideration.

Match #6 is over. Close scores for this match with only .09" between 1st and 2nd Place. Also the low man had the best group size.  Some fantastic shooting guys.
