First and foremost,
I would like to thank all of the new entrants this year... you all have made it worthwhile to keep this going!
That said, this will be the last casual match of the "off season".
Please look at the Regular Match Gates and decide what you want to shoot next when shtuf gets real fun.

Come one, come all... Casual Match #9 of 2023/2024 is open for business!!!

The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.

Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice. If you are limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle, Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), Pistol, or Pumper Class. One entry may be made in each class.

Match #9 will run 2 weeks... through Sunday, 4/07/24.

Call name or real name
PCP, Jumper, Pumper, or Pistol Class
Air rifle or Pistol used

My pellet order arrived yesterdy and during practice I noticed that the inexpensive RWS Excite Econ II .177 7.4gr
pellets were actually out performing the RWS R10 7.0gr Match pellets.
So, I decided to use them for Match #9

Now in the next few days, I'll start the process of refinishing the stock to it's own natural color and grain with a satin finish.

Eric (Kerfwappie) did a complete stock restoration on his CMP 853 and it turned out beautiful. If you run into questions drop Eric a note - he's a great guy very knowledgeable and more than willing to share. Tell him I sent ya :-)

Having to discard two sets of 20 each is a pretty good sign that you are a Super Marksman.
