When I bought my Crosman Town & Country it came with the wrong site. I replaced it but when I started to look at 101 sights I think this is the sight for the early 1920s beveled receiver 101. Wonder if that’s true and if they may be hard to get if your restoring this early gun?

I’ve wanted a early 101, will be set up if I find a nice one with a sight missing. Actually I can see someone putting a different peep on a Town and Country, though the sight is well made, the aperture hole is just too small. Crazy small.

That's the sight and bridge I have on my early 101 but on my 1st year 101 I have a different bridge and a V notch sight. I don't think I've seen them else where so might no be original.

My (beveled receiver) 101 came with that peep too, tho mine may have an even smaller orifice (as seen in the top right of the picture).

Here are 3 early Crosman sights for the 101.
I want to say they are in order of era - but I don't know where exactly the v notch sight fits in...
You just don't see too many of the 101s with a v notch sight.
Then you have the later 4th town & county peep type.
Anyone ever see a 101 with a different rear sight than these 4?

The bridge on mine is still different from those. At the 90deg bend there is less material.

I have a v notch on mine but suspect it was originally the tombstone peep that was butchered
on my next order to JG I was thinking of getting a replacement
