TX200
454 Big Block Chevy:
I have just had the fine honor, of firing the very first shot from my 16 year old, AA TX200 MK2. Not the first shot in my posession, the first shot since it left the factory. I don't know the full story, but the guy bought 2, died... and kids sold off his estate many years later.... it was being sold by an antique store. It has a L. Walther barrel, a integral muzzel brake/silencer, (yes its labled as a silencer in the included packaging) and still had the zip tie around the cocking arm. It is as far as i can tell, 100% flawless. Deep Deep blue blueing, Beautiful checkering, not a single mark in the wood. the cocking stroke is smooth, and firm, with the ratcheting that does not effect the stroke. The safety engaged as it should. It is not loaded down with lube... i don't know how it lasted this long without getting even a bit of rust. Truely a gem to find. Whoever got the .22 caliber sister of this, will be greatly pleased. (there were two of them for sale from the same individual on Gunbroker... one .177 and one .22). The first pellet to shoot out of it was a CPL 7.9 grain Boxed. I absolutly love this rifle. the stock and blueing is more pristine and beautiful than just about any powder burner i have ever seen. Bested by only some of the fine double scatter guns made in europe. Pics will follow, but it is absolutly beautiful. I do feel as if i did not do it justice however. It got immediatly topped with a UTG Dovetail to Weaver adapter, and a Centerpoint 4-16x40 AO scope, using the stock centerpoint provided rings. It will one day when i can afford to rub a few pennies together, a beautiful Hawke scope, or if i can get lucky, mabey a Leupold. I may take the Leupold VX-3 3.5-10 AO off my .280 and put it on the TX... i love it that much. My buddy Nathan Murphy, is to blame for this fine piece of art falling into my possession. He purchased it as a gift for me, and I will be forever grateful.

Ed, I'm happy for you. I know you'll get lots of pleasure from this beautiful rifle. The circumstances just make it sweeter. I'll look forward to seeing it and if you'll let me, shooting it at our next rondezvous. You'll probably have a few thousand shots through her by then. They are very nice rifles.Enjoy frequently. Dave
