HWfan:
Good day to all, it is a beautifull day here in the desert for a change. I have a couple of questions for past and present Pro Sport owners. #1 does the scope rail have the scope stop pin holes in the scope rail? Have been looking at alot of pics of this beauty and could not really see any. #2 if not what scope mounts do you use? #3 how is the cocking lever linkage on this rifle? I was reading somewhere that someone had trouble with a pin in the linkage. The cocking lever looks to be aluminum. Hopefully the factory has addressed issues like this. #4 is this rifle really as accurate as its advertisement? I'm looking at the .22 cal. I want to sell a NIB R7 and a NIB R9 both .177 safe queens to fund this purchase. Hopefully it will be worth it. Thanks in advance for any advice and opinions. Semper Fi Joe.

I bought a Pro Sport, walnut, .177 cal. about 2 months ago. I think that it is a fine rifle. It is fairly quiet for it's power and super accurate. The bluing is very nicely polished and the wood is beautiful.
I have had the screw, which attaches the cocking shoe to the sliding compression chamber, work it's way loose several times. I put some blue threadlocker on it, so I'm hoping that will work. So far it is holding. I've heard of others who have had no problems with this screw whatsoever.
I feel that the Pro Sport is a well made, and fine looking air rifle.

Sorry, but I forgot to answer the first two questions.
#1- The grooved receiver does have the stop holes in it.
#2- I use a set of 2-piece Beeman high mounts. The cheekpiece is kind of high in my opinion.

If Scott likes it.....I'm in. ;)
Been circling a Pro Sport for awhile, almost stepped up yesterday. They are beauties!!!! :D

Dean, I don't think that you will be disappointed with the Pro-Sport. I don't think that I can say enough good things about it. My only regret, if I had one, would be that I didn't get one sooner.
Take care, Scott
