AA TX200HC or The Pro Sport?

(1/3) > >>

Checco:
Hello All,
It has been a while sense I have been on here.
I have a Tx200 hc That I love It is so accurate I have taken rabbits at 60 & 61 yards. Dove season I knocked a dove off of a fence post At 95yards. I took one shot missed then took another with 5.5 mildot hold over at 7 power & maybe got lucky but rang is bell right in the head.So I can't say enough about this gun.
But, I have a friend at work that wants to buy it.I was thinking of the pro sport, it shots 11fps faster little lighter but of coarse more $
Is this rifle really much better. If not I would hate to get one that would not be up to par with this.
IF I ended up with a lemon I would really be bent.
any advise would be good.
Thanks guys
Matthew

I have shot both and would have to flip a coin over the purchase of either. I like the lever on the TX better than the one on the PS. Otherwise both shoot and feel the same and are spot on accurate. 11 FPS is no reason to buy the PS. That could change just due to humidity of one day to the next.

Either rifle is a winner and considering the quality of these rifles I would think the chances of getting a "lemon" would be very slim, however, keep this in mind..  you already know what you have in your TX.  If the rifle is as good as you you describe and it was mine I'd be hard pressed to sell it only to replace it with another rifle hoping the new rifle will perform just as well.  I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke don't fix it" .  Just my 2 cents  :)

I agree.  It would be a gamble to think another rifle would shoot as well as you say this one does. If it were me I'd keep the proven rifle.

Both the TX 200 and Pro Sport share almost the exact same power plants. Difference being the way the linkage is set up for cocking and aesthetics's of the stocks. Both are extremely accurate air rifles IMO. I own both and both share different hold and feel. It would be a toss up for me which one I like better. Both share the qualities that I prefer in an excellent shooting air gun.
