Totally Blown away by Umarex...and NOT in a Good Way
Ronno6:
I need a gas ram for an Umarex Octane.
My first call got me to a CS rep who "didn't even know what that is..."
So, I asked him to send me a schematic, which he promptly did.
The ram is #24 on the exploded view, but...does NOT appear in the numerical listing!!
So, I canned again, and talked to the same dude.
I gave him what WOULD have been the part # and was told "That is something we do not sell."
WT..................Heck ?????
He said I could send in to them and "They would look at it."
This blows me away............
So, what replacements have y'all foind for this critter??
Insanity:
Call and ask for tech service he will be of better help than the CS reps.
You may also PM this gent from Umarex to open comunication.

It is all the same dept.
I attempted to speak with an operator, but the recording said that that # could not take my call now.....
Will try again.
Insanity:
See my edited response and this guy is not the same department.
Ronno6:
Thanks, Mr. Matt
I sent him a PM.......
The Octane uses the same piston seal as the Ruger Blackhawk that I just repaired.
I may compare pistons to see if the mainspring from the Blackhawk will work........
Otherwise, I am seeing a gas spring in Mcmaster catalog that may work, if I can settle on a force rating.

I would have to trim off the threaded projection at the rear after adding a centering nub ALA the original....
