Fusion 2 HPA adapter

(1/1)

DIYengineer235:
I was bored at work today so I did a quick design of a straight adapter to convert my Fusion 2 to a PCP setup.

I say quick because some of the dimensions, such as overall length, were more guess than measure.

The end that screws into the gun is the standard M16x1.5 thread of course. The other end currently has a 1/8" NPT thread that i believe fits a high pressure quick disconnect. I'm open to other connection types though. The reason for the length is simply to clear the stock before connecting to a bottle, preferably by hose. I added flats that would fot either a 9/16" or 13mm wrench to help with removing the adapter if i want to quickly convert back to CO2. I prefer to use a hose as apposed to a direct bottle connection to keep the balance more towards the rear. I'm even considering using a dual bottle setup with bottles mounted on the sides.

First though, i have to decide if this adapter would even work, choose a material and find someine to make it.

The max pressure should be around 1000 psi and will be regulated before reaching the adapter.

So, does anybody see any problems that i may have overlooked? Or any ideas i should add?

it will work.. you can make it from 6061 aluminum no issue.. several people have converted them , heres an old thread

Thanks for the info. Its nice to know I won't blow myself up with this. I was hoping I could use Aluminum.

And that's the conversion that got me started on this.

Now I just need to find some investors willing to shell out some money for this.

Better view of the drawing.
