I have a Redfield Revolution Tac with factory parallax set at 150 yards. Would resetting to 50yards (my max distance) help? Do any of you readjust the factory parallax settings on your scopes?

I have adjusted a couple. Setting to your mid distance will be okay, say 40 yards. It will be good enough for plinking at maybe 20-50, but you will still have parallax issues especially at the closer ranges. Good consistant cheek weld can help mitigate that a little bit, but only if you shoot from 1 position.

Some fixed parallax scopes are fairly easy to adjust others can only be adjusted at the factory.
If you can adjust without breaking the seal it will be worth your while. If you break the seal you'll have to send the scope back to the manufacturer.

I unscrewed the cap on the objective lens and turned the lens about 1 1/4 turns counter clockwise. I'm parallax free at about 75 yds. and the clarity at max power is much better. I used a strap wrench to loosen the cap. Definitely worth doing.

I've adjusted a number of cheaper scopes objective lenses by using an old set of calipers as a spanner wrench. Works great.

Remove the cover of the objective lens by turning counter clockwise.
Use a kitchen knife inserted into the 2 groves to turn the adjustment ring.
Turn the adjustment ring until the focus is best at your desired range.
Replace the cover.
