BKL Tech rings on Maximus?

Hey guys,
I have a Maximus .22 that I mounted a Hawke Panorama 4-12x40 using a set of Hawke medium height dovetail rings.
I'm not a huge fan of how well the Hawke rings mount up to the 11mm dovetails on the Maximus, it seems like there's not a whole lot of surface-to-surface contact, and the rings are more like "pinching" themselves into place. I'm looking around for a new set of rings, and I'm wondering if someone has experience running the BLK rings on their Maximus/Discovery (or other Crosman 11mm dovetail). I'm looking specifically at the BLK-263 bkltech.com/BKL-1-Long-Double-Strap-Dovetail-Mount-p/bkl-263.htm
I'm pretty sure my current Hawke rings are problematic because my scope's windage is cranked almost all the way to one end in order for the Maxiums to shoot POA-POI at 25 yards.

Make sure your barrel band isn't torqueing the barrel over to one side. That will make your scope hard to zero. If that isn't the problem try flipping your rings around. I use a 1 piece mount for a springer on m my Discovery because I could see the flex in the receiver. The mount is completely forward of the loading port and makes loading access easier.

I have the BKL 300-mb 30mm rings on my Maximus... They have proven to be stable and rock solid. As C_M_Shooter said, loosen your barrel band, let the barrel spring back to a neutral position, then carefully re-tighten the band (without twisting/torqueing the barrel), before you zero.

If your Hawke rings have a removable side plate it may be flipped to work on either a 3/8 inch dovetail or an 11 mm dovetail. Remove the side plate and see which sides fits better in your dovetail. That is the side to leave down to grab the dovetail.
Although dimensionally very close the two dovetails are cut at different angles. One is cut at 45 degrees and the other at thirty or sixty - I forget which. One side of the plate will fit better into the dovetail than the other.

I have a BKL 11 to weaver adapter.
The point of BKLs system is more to save on labor than to more positively center the scope or whatever. And you will never get them as low as normal rings.
They are good products, but don’t believe the hype.
