Monster Rat

Rat Sniper (AKA: PaulT58):
This guy was 15" long with tail!  Saw him on the Critter cam around 1:00 am on the 1st and he came back earlier yesterday at a little after 10:00 pm.  Missed capturing the shot on camera due to my error, but he is no more!



The critter cam froze just before I took the shot and I forgot to press record on the scope in my haste to get off the shot!  It was late so I didn't wander back into the woods till this morning, and he was still there.  I was shocked, there must not have had any possums visit last night.

 Paul , wow ,dang rat looks like a baby g-hog ! I found another "rat room" in a barn where I mostly harass the pigeons. On the backside of a ground feed pile that I have taken several pigeons , starlings ,hosps and even several g-hogs ( off the front side ) is an abandoned stall room. This room has a wood floor w/ lots of cracks & holes and the rats come from every direction ! Yesterday I set up my chairblind in the morning and took 4 rats and 2 pigeons . Later in the afternoon
I got 2 more rats and watched 3 gray squirrels hogging some feed also , too bad it's not their season yet ! I've left the chairblind in place so I can hit the spot some evening after dark .

Thank you Martin!  I would think, that after dark, that spot would be all rats all the time!  :o  No pesty distractions from squirrels or birds!  ;D
