I have been somewhat remiss in my progress reports on this one. That is mainly because there's been so little progress. Life kind of gets in the way. Airguns are a hobby. I found the spring ends to be somewhat "grabby" and sanded them perpendicular to a flat. I could go further but they're a LOT better. The seal was worse than expected but lacking a spare I'll use it for now. I did take it down with 150 grit then when I got close switched to 400. It's still not great but much better. The fit in the compression tube is much better as well. I did purchase some moly powder (molybdenum disulfide) and after cleaning the compression tube with brake cleaner I burnished it with the moly. The pivot is an extremely tight fit. I removed the pivot wasshers, which now fit into a recess, unlike the older ones. I wiped out the dab of grease that was there and added my moly powder to the hint of grease remaining. They now turn much more freely. I installed the piston into the compression tube after burnishing more moly powder into its dides and the seal, followed by Krytox. I reinstalled the barrel which pivots more freely but is still tighter than I'd like. At this point I realized I had forgotten to add the piston sleeve I promised myself I'd build. I'll see if I have to remove the barrel again to install the sleeve.Another member expressed a desire to see some pictures. I went so far as to request info from NCED on his picture editing program. I downloaded the program but haven't taken enough time to feel comfortable with it. Life gets in the way, remember? After I reassemble this gun and see how it shoots I'll try to have my act together well enough to illustrate a disassembly and tune. Another member wished he could see the process on You Tube. I'd love to see that as well but I lack the facilities.
