Most of my spring guns prefer domed pellets, I would think the heavier JSB Diabolos will give you joy.Keep in mind... those boasted velocities are a marketing tool. You won't see speeds like that out of a gun unless you are using a 4gr alloy pellet... not much use in that. The other consideration being, spring guns need back pressure to slow the piston at the end of the shot cycle to keep it from slamming into the end of the air chamber.... if not, the shock sent through the spring will fracture it. You'll most likely also damage the piston seal. The other thing you'll experience is a report equal to a .22 rimfire. And as already posted... very poor accuracy.
The manufactures write up states; "Benjamin Trail SBD Stealth .177 caliber NP2 break barrel air rifle has the new integrated silencing barrel device system", can anyone tell me how it's sound compares to that of a vintage pumper?
Again I have the Titan NP2 AND the Mayhem NP2 (both in .22).The Mayhem is almost the exact rifle as NP2 Trail except for a synthetic stock. So the gun you linked would be like if my two guns had a child The moderator is exactly the same and works quite well. I measured around 80db with its 'cover' on and right at 100db with it off. Not whisper quiet but not bad. As I said most of the sound is from the mechanics with the moderator on.BTW I have no idea why they did not include the rear sight. But the rear sight for the Mayhem would be an exact fit. Probably ones from the Trail as well. You could order one from Crossman easy enough.
Been looking to use up my Cabela’s gift cards from Christmas. Found something
Ya Scott. I guess you can say I took the plunge. Purely one of those impulse lack of brains, I'll take one. Think of it this way...the price makes it easier to wack up side a tree if need be. BTW; PM me I'd like to see what your after...
LOL.... that didn't take long.Kinda like a "one night stand".
