I have these in wood and synthetic versions. They are sort of an RWS 34 clone on the front half and an R9 clone from the trigger back. Mine are fine shooters, especially the Mike M. tuned one. All have the barrel chopped to 16 inches. I prefer open sights on most rifles although, at 61 years old, I am giving scopes more consideration every day.
The stocks on these rifles are for guys with big hands and long arms. L.O.P. is 14.75 and the trigger is a bit of a reach for me, a guy with average size hands. The wood stock is nicely checkered. The synthetic stock is slimmer than the wood version and feels substantial.
These were all the rage a few years ago and I am inclined to think that there are many of them languishing in closets all over America. A lot of people could not get good accuracy out of theirs and gave up. Mine started out that way but lots of barrel cleaning, seasoning, shooting and more cleaning and seasoning, and a good crown polish, finally brought them around.
I guess I just wanted to encourage you larger guys to get one of there rifles. They are only available used now,as the new Expresses are completely different animals. The physically larger stock can make it all worth it to the guy who finds the majority of air rifle stocks a bit cramped.
