1st day with my new Origin .22[smg id=8663]10 sots each group from 50ft
SWMBO went to her sisters for the day and an overnight so I took some time to work on airguns and get some dope on them. I took the AEA HP Varmint and the DAR Gen lll both in .25 out to the 100y range with the brand spankin' new JSB 33.95 MKll pellets to see how they performed in both the guns. The HP Varmint was a little 'hot' at 1090 so I had to turn the power wheel down 2/3 to get 880 fps.I was a little surprised with the DAR, the 33.95gr pellets chrony numbers were right on at 880fps, full hammer spring compression but not binding. The results of the groups were surprising with the Varmint leaving a vertical group 3.14" tall while that DAR that gets so much hate, got a .71" 5 shot group at 100 yards.Friggin unreal.
After I got my Chaser HPA conversion in .177 shooting well, I decided to shoot a 100 shot card to see how CPHP's were doing. The CPHP's didn't perform as well as I had hoped at 10m but they did OK, they will definately be good for casual plinking but they are a no-go for competition. *NOTE, target #10 is a .22 that I shot at the test target to see where it would hit at 10 feet and target #32 is a second shot on the same target because a Japanese beetle landed on my target and er... um... exploded.
