Beeman models

I see many rifles with this name.
Some look solid and while others look they are made mostly of plastic.
Is there a consensus on which models are worth owning / collecting ?

 Beeman has some quality offerings for the $ Of the 5 or so different ones I own no issues, some I have modded to be more than advertised.

Too long a story to get into here, but Dr. Beeman's original business brought in many guns made by Weihrauch, Webley, Feinwerkbau, and other quality European makers. He sold out in the 1990's and today's company is, shall we say, a bit more wide-ranging.

The famous Beeman "R" guns are Weihrauch rifles with upgrade US-made stocks. You can't go wrong with any of those. The R7 may be the best junior-size sport rifle ever made.

I would add that Robert Beeman influenced Weihrauch to build guns with Monte Carlo stocks that appeal to American shooters. The R series line.
Merely a shadow of the original concept, Beeman Weihrauchs are now mostly the same as regular Weihrauch and sadly no longer built with classic American style. We no longer have an advocate.

I don t know as much as Carl does but I would repeat his statement.  --We no longer have Dr Beeman as an advocate. 

Beeman championed Adult Airguns the American way and his efforts sure did paid off.  Just look at the P1.
