Shooting Rests

I am going to take out my .25 Hatsan Flashpup for the first time, weekend after next. Easter weekend was busy with family, and next weekend I have a visitor from out of town. So the pup will have to burn a hole in the closet floor for a bit.
I probably will sight it in at 25 yards to start, and will mostly just enjoy plinking and some solid "thwacks". I have a used 2008 SCBA 65 c.f. in the mail but will be working with a hand pump until it gets hyrdo tested and I get the fill station gear.
Once I am better equipped I will want to get it dialed in: figure out how I want to zero it for hunting this fall, and break out the chrony and tune it up. While most of my target practice will be practical field position shooting, I will certainly want some kind of rest for holding the gun while getting a good zero and for shot strings with the chrony.
Should I just get shooting bags and call it a day? I could also get a gun vise that could double for cleaning/maintenance, but I hear some of them are not ideal for airguns, and with mine being a bullpup that might be even trickier.
Interested to hear what people here use for shooting rests, especially people with bullpup guns.
Thank you,
pg

For practicing your shots... it's whatever I'm comfortable with, relaxing at a table. If it's for dialing in a new scope.. then precision and consistency are key. In that case for my long gun (Mrod) I use a Caldwell pro rest
.
Now, you raise a good point, because on my bullpup (FX ImpactX) the air tube is in the way SO ~ in that case I use the bipod on the rifle, and a rear sandbag
(TufForce shooting rest bag, also Amazon).
For the long gun the subtle adjustments are with the wheels and levers on the brace; whereas on the bullpup, the subtle adjustments are up to me and my position using the rear bag.
Works for me
