Before I found this I had my trigger group apart to realize that the only mod is the seer spring and maybe a polish on the mating parts. The issues I had were hinge screw was very loose and it likes heavy 18.3g JSB pellets. One mod I did to my stock was sand out the area for the hinge screw so I can tighten it as needed without disassembly.

For me, DP Wholesale on a reman Impact Max, the shipping would be about $45.00. So, $130 total. I'd rather pay the extra $10 and pick one up from WM as they have a super return policy should there be a big problem. I can get some air rifles through Amazon with free shipping. Should I decide to get one. Also considering a Benjamin Prowler in .22, as it gets very good reviews. The (deceased) Kenny Kormandy loved that gun, and it's about $100 from WM and in both are in stock at WM/Hilo Hawaii. The Prowler, as Kenny tested, showed about 88db on his sound meter, which is very quiet. And, the trigger fix, either the 10mm adjusting bolt to replace the 5mm one, or the bearing install, are both cheap and easy. I do like that wood stock on the Ruger though....

How are all of your Impacts doing? Haven,t seen many new posts. Mine has really come into its own. Have whacked quite a few starlings and Eurasian doves with mine along with English sparrows and a few other pest species. Mine has gotten quite smooth, I have two 500 tins of CPHPs through it now. When I get around to it ill be sending mine back to umarex. Its not as accurate as my newer benjamin trail np2 so I questioned its accuracy and contacted umarex.

Both of mine continue to be fine, inexpensive break barrels, as is the Umarex Forge I have (same tnt piston and trigger group but in .177). They have been reliable, accurate to 35 yds on squirrel and chipmunk headshots. I set it on a sand bag at it's balance point for best accuracy. Mine like hn terminators best with beeman devastators a close second. But do spend the time finding the right pellet, mine are picky.

Great thread. I just bought a Ruger Impact Max and I want to change the spring as well. What does it take to remove the trigger assembly? I see there are two Phillips head screws by the trigger guard. If I remove those will the trigger assembly come out?
I like everything about this gun except the super heavy trigger.
