The simplest way is to look at the color variation between the two which are obvious, this & the stamp below the rear sights which I made perfectly clear on both counts in my previous explanation. Here are two additional photos so that your "identical" comment doesn't confuse folks.
even though it's identical

That in itself is confusing. Misleading at the least. So I basically got something interesting, but not as valuable. Dang it.
It's value lies in how you look at it. What's it worth to you. Honestly... who cares what others think.I don't buy into the "mine is better than yours" mentality. Heck, ya'll probably ain't even seen half the guns I have around here. I got them because, in one way or another, they make me happy. I have, and will continue to post guns that I got a special deal on or put together or restored.I'm more of a "gatherer" than a "collector". ALL of my guns get "used" whenever the urge hits me. If you buy a gun from me one thing is guaranteed..... it's a used gun.

I was actually responding to Leonard. He seemed depressed that his gun wasn't what he thought it was value wise.

Might be cool if they made other old replicas? Like Henry's, Spencer's, and Sharps/Remington rolling blocks?
Quote from: unionrdr on March 16, 2019, 10:31:41 AMMight be cool if they made other old replicas? Like Henry's, Spencer's, and Sharps/Remington rolling blocks? Oh, it's been done! Air Ordnance (Mrodair) has a replica Remington rolling block... IF your pockets are deep enough. http://mrodair.com/modoc_9mm_remington_rolling_block_replica_pcp_air_rifle
There also a take on a Kentucky rifle, the Ultra HI Model BB 76 Kentucky Air Rifle
Quote from: cobalt327 on March 16, 2019, 11:33:37 AMThere also a take on a Kentucky rifle, the Ultra HI Model BB 76 Kentucky Air RifleThat's a real cool BB gun. Made in Japan for the American Bicentennial. It's at least a partial knock-off of Daisy's 50 shot spring fed shot tube a la model 25 and model 99. The Uultr-Hi's shot tube was a couple inches longer to work in that 48" long rifle. I've had a couple and they shoot in the 380 fps range, when shooting correctly. It is an adult size BB gun for sure. Mostly all wood and metal. They were well made.
