I'm not a huge fan of AoA, but for those who are willing to deal with them, this looks like a pretty good deal. It's $500 at PA/AGD.http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/spring-piston/diana-model-52/

Others take note; this is a great deal.Edit: Just a note that AOA was super responsive and nice when I made, and then nonsensically canceled, the order. I would love a 52, but even at that crazy low price, I had to back out. The AOA of the past may have evolved. The sales person that called me back to confirm cancellation was great. -Whirly
Heck of a deal! I paid $292 for my 48 .22 (no checkering like the 52 which is the only difference) 6-7 years ago, and it was a good deal then for a 48. Very accurate fixed barrel springer out of the box, and it had a great finish on the wood. My hand still slides over it effortlessly and feels the same as when new. It was also surprisingly easy to cock.I recommend the .22. It's a solid 800-810fps hunter with 14.3gr with a very small ES and SD (tested on the Chrono), but you can research it on the German Gate.Harry
guys, open sights are metal or plastic?
Thank you Gear_Junkie ,I took advantage of the sale thanks to you pointing out a great price . The box took a beating from ups but the gun appeared to be in perfect condition and shoots better than me .

I just picked up a D56. I'm somewhat pleased with it so far. Short stroked it down to 12fpe. Like you said, I'm a HW guy too, but the Diana isn't so bad.
Harry, I thought the exact same thing. I'm so tempted to order this 52 to compliment my .20 cal 48 My 48 is without a doubt one of my favorite hunting rifles. If I hadn't spent all my extra $ on PBer purchases last month I'd already have one of these on it's way to my house. Jeff
