Who Here Uses a Reflex Sight On Their Daisy 880 ?

Reason for asking, this gun is really a PITA to load, and it would be much easier to load without a scope in the way. There are disadvantages in using a reflex sight for sure, but for 35 yds or so it could work for me. The only thing is the gun IMHO looses its cool factor on this gun ;- (
I do like the faster acquisition using a reflex sight, especially with this is a short range air gun.
I also very much like the 880 with iron sights, as it is light, thin and non bulky. The scope looks cool and of course you have better visibility, but it is heavier and it does
get in the way of loading pellets
. The reflex sight is much faster than a scope or iron sights, as you shoot with both eyes open and as in the case of iron sights, there is no lining rear and front sights up .. you just put the dot on the target, and I do like that.
So here I am again on the verge of another sleepless night ;- )

The loading port mod makes it easy to load - even with a scope.

I load it from the left side it is easier for me (with my left hand. I am right handed) The edge is sharper and I can load it farther forward. Many times dropping the nose of the pellet right in the chamber. I shoot at night any type of sight or scope that lights up wipes out my night vision.

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

I use a #5899 aperture receiver sight which Daisy makes for their target guns.
All It requires is your front sight to get a bit taller.
