Hatsan 125 .22 caliber

My wife bought me a Hatsan 125 in 22 cal. for my birthday this last January. I have about 50 pellets through her and today was the 3rd time I had her out since getting it. In my brief shooting with the gun prior to today thought the best one for accuracy was the Jsb 14.3 gr. Jumbo Express. Well I took her out today and I grabbed some H&N FTT 14.66 gr. 5.53 head size because they were the first tin that appeared when I opened the ammo box. I started by blasting an old tin can at 50 yards and it hit it so hard it just shot straight through without knocking it over. So I tried it again at the same can. This time it did the same thing and There was a new hole right below the first hole. That's when I decided to try to see where these might group on the paper this time.
 I shot 5 pellets at this 3" target at 52 yards and this is what it looked like when I finished. Almost MOA. about 5/8". All I can say now is The rifle is the second keeper of the story, and my lovely wife is The first.

I really like my 125 even though it's a.177. I just shoot 10 grain slugs out of it.

Wow, that is a very nice 52 yard shot group with your .22 cal. Hatsan 125.

I own a couple of Hatsan 125's myself

My .22 cal. Walther Talon Magnum ( A Hatsan 125) is around 18 years old.

I also have a Hatsan 125TH in .25 caliber that is just about as old as the .22 cal. rifle.

Both are spring powered and they still shoot accurately and have plenty of power.

 The trigger is set-up just as it came. Works great. Needs no adjusting.
 The shot cycle is pretty brisk. It's lock time doesn't give it a chance to do anything negative.
 It's riding with a Barska 3-12 AO mildot, airgun rated scope. It also has a UTG drooper mildot adapter  Guess I'll leave that set-up on her.
 It's very refreshing to get a brand new spring rifle and have everything go as well and as smoothly as this particular gun has.
 I really am enjoying the time The Lord allows me with this hobby.

I am 76 and I thank the Lord every day for my good health and granting me more than ample physical strength to easily handle my magnum rifles.
All my life I was blessed with a naturally strong muscular body and even for my age I am still pretty strong.

My 125 "sniper" metal springer is also relatively accurate, although I'll never know how so as I'm still the limiting part.  I think it is the top of the Hatsan springer pile, with the 130/135 being over the top.  Did they ever make a wood stock 125?
Right now it is rocking one of those Bullseye zero-recoil mounts, accurized as per Hector Medina's instructions.
My lovely wife says the sound of me shooting puts her to sleep, although all that spring kinda rattles my brains.

Yeah, I thought the same way about the 125 until I bought a 135 vortex. That thing makes my trigger finger sting after a few dozen shots. I really need to convert it to metal spring.😡

Nice. I really enjoyed my 125 a couple squirrel seasons ago. Very accurate and I’ll never get rid of it.

I found that both my mod 125’s prefer pellets in the 18-20 grain range.  My Vortex powered .22  really likes the 17.6 gr Norma GTFT and 21gr H&N Baracuda Hunters with the Norma’s producing the highest FPE.  25 fpe at the muzzle.
