Vortex 4-12x40 A/O

Does anyone have any experience with this company? I looked at the Crossfire II 4-12x40 A/O at Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday and fell in love. I plan on mounting it on my Marauder. I called the company earlier in the day and the fella told me the Crossfire II scopes are spring piston rated and have an unconditional lifetime warranty, I had been considering the Hawke Vantage 4-12x40 A/O, but nobody in town has any in stock to look at. The Vortex costs about $30.00 more than the Hawke, but I like the fact I could swap it onto one of my springers if I wanted to which Hawke doesn't recommend unless the rifle produces 12 ft lbs or less. In addition to this the crosshairs on the Vortex appear more useful. Thanks guys looking forward to your feedback👍

 Vortex is a great Wisconsin based company, I feel they have not fully embraced the airgun community, as they do not offer much in a A/O objective, IMO that is a must for the power and distances we shoot at. Other wise they are a quality product.

Yeah, I looked at the 4-12x40 A/O at Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday and it's just wonderful, I talked to a Vortex Rep yesterday before I went to Sportsman's Warehouse and he was very informative and after speaking with him I think this scope is going to be perfect on my Marauder, and the warranty is incredible. 👍

Vortex brand is my favorite brand of scope.  I have quite a few of them on my PBers and I have several on a few of my PCP's.  I never tried one on a springer so I can't say that I know for a fact that they'd survive.  I love the quality of Vortex scopes.  I've always found the clarity and operation of them to be simply outstandng.  I have a couple of the exact scope you are looking at and I love them.

For a little more, you can upgrade to a Japan-made Bushnell Tac 5-15x40 AO at GunMag Warehouse.

Nothing against Vortex, as I own 2 of their products, but I try to avoid their made in China offerings.

Their Diamondbacks, a step-up from their Crossfires, used to be made in the Philippines but are now also Sino.

Nothing against Vortex, as I own 2 of their products, but I try to avoid their made in China offerings.

I looked at Optics Planet website and it says " Discontinued by manufacturer" I went to Bushnell's website and they list them at $499.00 that's more than " a little more" LOL! Thanks though👍

I personally had 2 of the Bushnell Tacs when I was still in the Philippines.

Good glass but I had started to progress from mildot to hash, so I sold them.

I gotcha and I appreciate your input, but I'm really not interested in buying a discontinued scope model👍
