PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: Pinty Tactical Airgun.« Last post by avator on Today at 01:45:43 PM »I mustered the courage and opened that back gate so I could ride the Rancher atv out through the swamp to hang the disc on the backstop. I was pleased that no snakes joined the party and I made it back without the need for rescue.
Only problem is that I forgot to put a fresh coat of white paint on the disc so strikes could be easily seen through the scope. I'll want to take another run at it. But yeah, it gives of a nice "RING" when hit. I'll learn alot about hold over with this. 2

PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / What adapter to fill Marauder from Scuba tank?« Last post by Joe Smith on Today at 01:42:18 PM »My older Marauder is loaned to a friend who dives. Has the tanks.
What adapter/system/assembly do we need to get for him to use the tanks to fill the rifle? I have been taking my compressor to use and in talking find out he has tanks - gets them filled at the fire department. Figure doing this will save me more driving & let him top up as needed using what he already has. So - what is needed? 5

Jumper HW30 HN Excite Econ II .177 Standing Peep N Post 181 x1 Been over a year since I shot some 10M. I put a TruGlo front site on. Dialed in on the bench 10 shots or so. Put up a fresh target and let her rip. Oh how I love my HW30, even though I wave it around like a drunken sailor. 6

Engineering- Research & Development / Re: Semi auto PCP pistol« Last post by JPSAXNC on Today at 01:34:07 PM »Thanks subscriber, It's an interesting design. Someone with some engineering knowledge and a drawing program could refine the design. I've built myself into and out of so many boxes I've lost count. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I've probably had the gun together and apart a 100 times. LOL. I don't see any reason that it wouldn't work in a larger caliber either, the little bit of air that escapes from the breech, could be eliminated by using a shorter barrel so all of the air could escape with the pellet. I don't know what effect that might have on velocity though, because I don't know if the pellet is actually gaining any speed in the 9" barrel. 680 fps. is the highest velocity I've gotten with the .22 CPHP's @3000psi. That's pretty low considering the bleed hole for the hammer is only .033 and the puff out of the breech blows a square of toilet tissue about 8" high. I almost have the new sear finished. Then I will try to refine the length of the bolt probe, in relation to the transfer port. It isn't easy because I can't see how far the hammer moves the valve stem and the hammer is carrying the bolt probe. Anyway it's still fun.

Air Gun Gate / Re: What airgun related did you do today?« Last post by kbstingwing on Today at 01:17:35 PM »found a leak on my HW100 .20 cal, had to replace the Main Valve cylinder O-ring, it was getting Hard, had a bunch of them "#006 O-ring", fixed and holding, also replaced the barrel on my Avenger, I did an Ooop's on the original when I was trying to cut a better crown on the Breach side, I need smaller lathe tooling..... oh well, new barrel was cheap, ground a nice crown on the exit end with the Brass screw and Valve compound, the Breach end was good on this one, made the barrel free floating on my bottled version Avenger, test and it's accurate put about 50 rounds through it before the wind got too strong, I'm happy with the results.
