Well the good news was the temperatures only reached 101 on Sunday, the better news was we were under cover and shade and avoided the grueling conditions of the June match. The bad news was the Ione winds returned to normal making for a very challenging match. We had 15 hearty souls turn out for the match including 3 first time field target shooters Nocam, Matt and Colin all of whom shot very well for their first matches.
The day started out pleasant enough with the temperatures in the 70's and the winds mild. Those conditions didn't last too long as the temperatures climbed toward 100 and the switching Ione winds increased in velocity. This coupled with a course of lots of small kill zones and long shots made for a very challenging day. As is becoming a national trend the majority of shooters were in the Hunter Class.
I also want to thank everyone who showed up early to set up the course I really appreciate the help. Below are the results for the day. For what ever reason the six shot offhand lane took a serious toll on the shooters with only 4 out of 15 shooters hitting more than 1 shot.

LOL ... looked like it was brutal out there. I'm stikin to bench, if I get in that sitting position on the ground, I would need help getting up, and I'm 6'5", talk about swaying in the wind.
