I just finished installing a 22mm, Tony Leach kit. I cut 1-1/4 turns off of the spring at the outset. It is still running 13fpe. Take another full turn off, more, less? Quite happy with the kit otherwise.

Is this a .177 or .22 caliber? Also, if you could get a measurement of your “total preload” that would be helpful. With trigger block against spring, but decompressed....take a center to center measurement from the threaded hole in the trigger block to the mounting hole in the receiver. See example below.Steve

I didn't want to waste a spring though (stock 12fp AA spring). I cut off 1-1/4 turns and shaped and polished the end. (not the first time, I've tuned a couple of guns with great results). I really was surprised at the power. I'll have it apart tomorrow evening. I can't open your attachment. What dimension am I looking for? TX200 MKIII, .177. Otherwise, it operates properly; no funny noises, no dieseling, a lot less recoil over the FAC spring. Thanks for your help!
If you could simply pull the spring and get me an overall spring length measurement that would be best.Steve
You are running the kit way to hot, bring the spring down to at least 214mm oal, to long a spring, to much power, good bye rear spring guide
