what do you mean by older ?
Are you're rifles made in Racine or made by crosman ?
The original Sheridan model H pistols were made in the 80's, but the He17 and H9a were crosman made guns and are probably not what you're looking for since you said " older "
If you're rifles are made by crosman you may want to get crosman made pistols to go with them, but if they're true original model C blue streaks then you'd probably want original model H pump or model E co2 pistols.
I'd really love to get a model H pistol to go with my '79 blue streak.
I wanted to get the model H my dads cousin bought resulting in him selling his streak to my dad ( he gave it to me about 30 years later ), but sadly he died a few months ago.

Ok
I learn something new.when I looked on eBay I saw h9 series which I thought were older but your right those are the crossman /Sheridan pistols.ive included a picture of what I'm looking for.
So yes I'm looking for the older H series pistol and I'll pay top dollar for a very nice one.
My blue streaks are pre 1963 with the hold to shoot safety
Thanks!!

19sheridan57 here basically deals in Sheridan air rifles and he may know where you can get a good pistol. Do you just want 2 of the model H pump pistols, or would you want a model H pump pistol and a model E co2 pistol ?
Either way they're definitely not as common as the rifles.
-
Oh thanks
I'm not into co2 at all so I'm just looking for the pump pistols
How do I get ahold of him ? And thank for looking out for me
I love my old sheridans .im older now and still remember the good times shooting them when I was 15 years old
-
I'd send a pm to him here on the forums.
-
I don't know 19SHERIDAN57 to sell pistols but if you get your posts up to the minimum requirement of 20 you can post what you're looking for in the classifieds here on the GTA.
Welcome to the GTA

Ok thanks !

I have bee keeping my eyes open for one for a while.
They go for some unreal prices.

I'm not at home so I don't have my information with me but here is what I can tell you off the top of my head: There are three basic models of "sheridan" pump pistols. The H, H9, and H9A (there is no such thing as an He).
1. The Sheridan HB pump pistol was introduced I think in 1982. The EB pistol was introduced in 1977 or 1978 ( but you aren't interested in the CO2 it sounds like). The HB pistol was stamped H-series on the left side of the receiver. The HB was produced until 1990. The HB was obviously only made in .20 cal.
2. In 1991, the separate benjamin and sheridan pistol lines were combined and they took the best features of each line and combined them. The pump pistols became the H9 series, and each caliber got its own model number. H17, H20, H22. The H9 series pistols were offered in both nickel and black finish. So H17 would be a nickel .177 cal pump pistol, HB17 would be the black version. They used the pump lever/pump tube/piston/valve/sights from the sheridan H, and the pump handle, and frame from the benjamin 24x pistols. So, you can quickly tell the difference between an H and an H9 because the frame is slightly different but the most obvious difference is the pump handle. The H9 pump handle is square, while the H pump handle is tapered.
3. In 1994, when production was moved to NY, the pump pistols series changed to H9A. The primary initial change was that crosman switched back to the H frame for all the pistols. So if you are looking at an auction, you can quickly tell whether you are looking at an H9 or an H9A by the frame. Over time, they quickly eliminated the nickel finish option for some of the calibers, and eventually phased all of the pistols out by a few years ago.
The problem with auctions is that sellers don't know the difference between the models and it seems neither do buyers. So relatively way less uncommon H9A pistols are selling for as much or more as the least common H9 pistols. The H pistols, having been made for 8 years are actually not all that uncommon. I see them come up for sale regularly. You should be able to find a pretty nice one I would say for less than $200 for sure and maybe even $150.

Very good info
Thanks!
-
So what's this one then?
-
And what's this one ?
Random pics I've found .thanks for all the info
-
Or you could find one of these.....
-
Oh heck ya
I'd take one of those
That's sweet!!
-
LOL.... unfortunately that one ain't for sale..
-
Figured that!! Lol
-
So what's this one then?
that is a Sheridan HB. Although its a little confusing as that one actually has a benjamin frame, probably because its last year production (1990) and they did some funny things then.
-
And what's this one ?
Random pics I've found .thanks for all the info
the second one is definitely an H9A
-
Thanks... what about the first one
-
I think Flint was talking about the first one when he said...

yup, you got it
-
How about this one ?
-
Is that yours Stephen? You been holding out on me?
-
yeah, that's that nickle plated Sheridan H. I believe they did those special order - I think they called them 'custom', or something like that.
is that the one that's been for sale like 6 times this year. I've seen it on ebay and gunbroker. same serial number each time. I have it written somewhere. either the same seller keeps putting it up or different people have been buying and selling it repeatedly, I stopped paying attention to it.
-
Let it be known... if it ever gets to my arsenal you'll never see it listed again.
-
How about this one ?
i want that !!
Beautiful!!

What was the gun going for when you see it for sale ?
-
HaHa. I never reveal all my secrets. That is an 81, One of only Six made.
-
Deleted. Double post.

DAY-UM!!!
-
Or you could find one of these.....
That one looks familiar, for some reason😊.
I have to get around to taking some pics of my marble grip 132, when I get home.
-
I didn't think they started making the H pistol until 1982. The earliest serial number I've seen on an H is 386xxx.
The nickle one I've seen for sale is ser # 400xxx, which would be '82.
either way, its very cool.
I've never watched the auctions to completion, but seems like I've seen bids in the $400-$600 range.
The last "normal" HB I watched ended just below $200, though I think I've seen them in the AA and Yellow classifieds for a little less.

Are the AA and yellow classifieds on this site ?

Are the AA and yellow classifieds on this site ?
Thanks
no, AA is American Airguns Classifieds, if you do a google search, you will find it. you don't have to register for anything with that site. Just check it frequently for what you are looking for. The sellers have to list their contact information in the sale ad, so if you find something you like, you just contact the seller directly and work out payment details, etc.
I don't remember if you have to actually join the yellow forum to use the classifieds section. I joined the yellow a million years ago before this forum existed, so I don't know if I can view the classifieds because of that or not.
you are most likely to buy from a good knowledgeable person on either AA or the Yellow classifieds or the GTA classifieds.
a lot of sellers on gun broker are pawn shop owners who aren't the best to get factual information from - however there are some good sellers. Ebay is super hit or miss, as far as sellers, but the problem with ebay is all the buyers - prices tend to go way higher, though I have snagged a few things there also. If you keep your eyes open on any/all of the above, you will find something sooner or later.
good luck! hope you find a nice pistol !! and show us pictures when you do !!!
-
oh, haha, you must have already figured out AA classifieds, as I see your want ad up.
one warning about want ads on that site though - is to definitely watch out for scammers. guys will do a google search for what you want and send you a picture they found on the web and then try to sell it to you. so, you'll need to really verify that they actually have the item. Like have them send you a picture like 19Sheridan57 posted with his name and date on a piece of paper next to the item.
