RoachCreek contacted me tonight. Lani52 as some of you know him.
His eyesight is failing and he said he can no on longer post.
This hurts, as RC and I go back years. He got me into Big bores and casting. If not for RC, many would never have thought of trying it.
I'm gonna miss him.

Sad, I know he was a great airgun enthusiast....

So very sorry to hear that, I know that he is really into doing some casting too. Hopefully he'll be able to continue with some aspects of this hobby.
-
Sad news for sure. Wishing roachcreek the best.
-
Charlie did a bunch for airgunning in the past, losing eyesight is no joke.
-
I feel for him because I have a small taste of what he is going thru.
Last year I lost vision in my right eye ( I posted about that) and although I got some back I've learned to shoot right handed and left eyed.
Makes me treasure what I have and VERY protective of what's left.
He's going to have difficult times and will be missed.

gracious, I share PMs with this gent!. In fact, I got a PM from him last week.
He seems to always send PMs not intended for me, so that must have been the reason why.
I remember he had pre-ordered a Diana Skyhawk from PA about 3 weeks ago and a NightHawk (?) from JSAR.
He recently did a Prod with all the shebang and he asked me on how to contact HPA Sports because he could not seem to get through them.
I hope he recovers his eyesight!

Not happening I'm afraid. One had to be removed, and the other is closing in. Only a very small dot of vision now.
Sorry to hear of your plight. Kinetic. Man, that sux! >:(

Sorry to hear this. He is a well respected, long time member. We will miss his contributions to the GTA.

I am very sorry to hear this too. Believe it or not, I have been following him for years. I was eagerly following him trying a record shot over 600 yds. Finally when I got home from work there it was.
He was the first to shoot really extreme range with an AG. I'll never forget.
I wish him all the best.
-
Very sad. Thanks for sharing Mike

Man, that sux. Roach is THE reason I ever got interested in long range and big bore air rifles... I came across his post on the TAG of his 600+ yard shot on pop cans...

Very saddening to hear. I will keep him in my prayers.
-
I am sad to read that. Give him my regards and well wishes. I hope he can still find a way to enjoy the hobby, or something otherwise fulfilling.
-
Mike I did not know the man personally but it is a great loss to the airgun community any time we lose someone and especially when they sound like a very knowledgeable person. My condolences and best wishes to his family, Neil.
-
Sorry to hear that, Roachcreek was very helpfull, and his stories in the wineyard were great. I hope he gets well.

I am extremely happy to say this has been straightened out,and was a simple mistake, and not mean spirited. RC is very relieved, and has posted here again.
Thank you very much fellow GTA'rs!
