70 meters and 90 meters Guinea Fowl
Body shots since those distances are getting a bit far with the wind for head shots.

Excellent shooting Louis, now the plucking begins... ;D

Great shooting!
1.3kg is >2.8 pounds (1kg = 2.2 lbs). That's a very heavy bird if that is correct.

Great shooting on the Guinea's !!! When I was in my teens my best friends dad raised all different kinds of of exotic birds as well as chicken's and turkeys. I've at them and they're good as well as many other kinds he raised were good as well. About the only birds I can't hack are woodcock, the first time I bit into one of them I knew would be my last, they were fun to hunt but don't even bother with them anymore because nobody I know eats them but if it's a ruffed grouse or pheasant I'll go for it.

Yeah, they don't really fly, just run like *(&^, that's why we have to shoot them are longer ranges.
Yes sorry here in SA we are metric, so 1.3Kg.

Strangely there are certain months of the year, now included, you don't really want to eat them because they have some kind of worms in them. The farm workers clean them properly though and then cook them, thus we just gave the birds to them.
They are a pest on the farm pecking out all the planted seeds and there are so many of them.
