Hatsan Striker 1000X with Woodfield WW HST installed

Finally had some time this weekend to install one of the two Woodfield Welsh Willy Hatsan Striker Trigger (WW HST) in the 1000X .22 cal. , the other trigger will go in the Webley Valuemax .20cal (soon). Here is a link to the site for anyone interested,
http://www.woodfield-gcp.co.uk/a-custom-parts.htm
The order came about 1 week after I placed the order and no issue with the international shipment (Willy was a pleasure to deal with, and he responded to my emails quickly).
I choose the silver anodized version over the black version for both guns.
Here is a group at 25 yrds (HN FTTs 5.53mm 14.66gr) before the trigger install. I had to really concentrate to get this less than 0.5" ctc group (with bench rest).
Here is the WW HST package and it also comes with installation instructions.
Trigger assembly with the original trigger removed
WW HST installed, also had to do some filing (as indicated in the instructions and in the installation video at the website) for the safety mechanism to function properly.
here is the opposite side
a couple more of photos after the install.
The Woodfield trigger is definitely easier to pull, very pleased with it. I don't have a tester for pull weight, but it is as easy as my X20s with the GTX II installed. I don't really notice the second stage, so I probably have to do some adjustment, need to read some more on this..
My initial groups are about 1" ctc at 25 yds. Not good, but I just need to spend more time with it, which is difficult right now, busy at work and the honey do list is extensive, plus I am piling up a &%$H load of firewood for the wood stove.
Hope to have an update soon.
thanks
John

Thanks, I really like the walnut stock and I think the 1000X does look real nice and very light. My brother really likes it also, so I'll be picking up another one soon.
thanks

I had some free time this morning and I tried to adjust the trigger. It feels a little better, very light pull, 1st stage is very short than a slight 2nd stage and it is off.
Here are some groups with the HN FTTs 5.53mm. I use a plastic stirrer to seat the pellet fairly consistantly (just trying to eliminate as many variables as possible in my technique), and resting on a bench. I noticed that I could get the first 3-4 shots in tight groups (had a few one-holers
, but then I would start to drift. That is why I only did 3-shot groups at the bottom row (middle group has a one holer). Getting better, but I would still like to increase the 1st stage length and then get a nice short 2nd stage. I'll keep at it....
thanks

@thekid,
thanks, definitely nice wood on these Strikers.
@Gary T,
I found it on Airgundepot. It was out of stock for at least 2 months. I don't recall if they emailed me when it came in or I just checked their website, but I jumped on it when ite was in stock. I think they have .25 & .177 in stock, but I really like this .22
thanks

John, have you found time to shoot the Striker any? I'm curious to know how the WW trigger is working out. Also, if you don't mind saying, how much do the triggers cost with shipping included?
Thanks,
Scotty

Hi Scotty,
Well, my 1/13 post had the latest groupings before I started messing some more with the trigger. My problem is I shoot a couple rifles at a time and they all seem to have different pull strength required, so I have to re-adjust my technique every time I switch rifles. Why me...
Any way, I messed with the trigger trying to make the 1st stage longer and I screwed it up. Now it has an extremely short - light- pull and sometimes when I cock the barrel, load it and close the barrel (sometimes hard), it could go off (luckily my basement ceiling is 3/4" plywood
). So I have to be really careful when I load it (really take my time,).
I guess I could have left it alone, but I wanted to try to adjust it. I could put the Primary and Secondary screws back to their original position, which I may get to that point and start over. If anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate the advice. Thanks.
Otherwise, I really like the trigger (I don't think I could have shot the # of pellets and groupings, in the same amount of time with the original trigger), just want tot figure it out...
The price was about $42.58 US ($26.95 British on their website) each, I bought 2 of them, and international shipping (to NJ) was an extra $2.77 US ($1.75 British on the invoice). It took about 1 week for delivery.
Thanks
John

Thanks John, that seems like a reasonable price considering the distance it has to ship. I really love the look of the wood on that rifle, the only thing that bothers me is availability of spare parts. I've heard that the E3650 spring will work but I'm not sure about piston seals, breech seals etc. Really wish Hatsan would make available these parts.

Hi Scotty,
The walnut stock sure is pretty, a little darker would be nice, but I am ok with it as is.
I agree with the parts availability issue, would be nice if there was a local (US) supplier. I've got two now and am glad I have them both. I could see getting another 1 or 2, the 135 looks sweet, maybe my first .25 cal. That was my first time ordering parts from the UK, not bad.
Thanks
John
