After very careful layout (not my forte) of the C-to-C dimension, I drilled and bored both holes on the little lathe. Came out perfectly.
The result is attached
Would bore both holes to final unless you have the proper reamer. Crosman barrels are not 7/16", and I've never been happy with the fit using a 7/16" reamer.Do you have ball gauges/telescopic gauges and a mic? Takes the guess work right out of such things and well worth the modest cost IMO.That's pretty spanky Craig...nice work! Al
I do not know if you have used telescope gauges before. And no, I am not trying to insult you. But, it does take a little bit of technique to get repetitive readings. I found this Web site which gives a pretty good description of how they are used: https://cncphilosophy.com/how-to-use-machinist-measuring-tools/Small hole gauges are used in the same manner as telescope gauges.HTH,Keith
