I know it's designed to use 2 co2 cartridges but will it hurt to put one empty and a full co2 cartridge to no ill effect. This co2 rifle is basically same as the umarex fusion.Sometimes I just want to do a quick shoot and don't have the time to fire off 35-40 rounds.Ive already tried it once and it fired about what I remember 20-25 shots before empty and power was same.Just not sure if I should continue doing this without harming the gun.

Check the torque on the nut behind the but.

Won't hurt a thing. Will get a bit less than 1/2 the number of good shots than when you use two, but that doesn't hurt anything.

Sounds good, thanks guys.I only have about 15 yards max to shoot so I don't notice any point of drop till nearly the last shot.

The CO2 in the one full cartridge has to fill the volume of the second one with gas, in addition to the volume around both cartridges in the tube.... so as Ribbonstone states your shot count will be less than half of what you get with two cartridges.... This means that on a cost per shot basis, it is false economy to use a single cartridge, but if your gun leaks even a bit, and you don't use all the CO2 in a single shooting session, it may be cheaper to use one at a time if you aren't going to be shooting much....

You may want to look and see if the piercing pin in the tube cap is removable. I'm pretty sure the one in mine had a couple of flats that allowed it to be unscrewed. That way you could keep an unpierced cartridge installed to avoid the loss Bob described.
Or if you never intend to use two cartridges, you can just grind the point down with a Dremel.

You would still be filling all the voids in the tube with gas, and the valve, from one cartridge instead of two.... Less CO2 liquid lost boiling off to fill that space, but still a loss of shots for 1 cartridge instead of two.... A cylindrical filler with a concave end to fit around the back of the full cartridge, and completely fill all the voids possible, would help even more....
