34P Front sight
jccams:
So I received my 34P and am a little disappointed with the windage adjustment that was necessary. I have the rear sight all the way to the left and it looks real bad. Does anyone know if I can rotate the front site assembly to the right so I can move the rear sight back to center?
HectorMedina:
Don't think so.
The barrels have a small slanted "Flat" milled that prevents the free rotation of the plastic muzzle piece.
Test it, and if it shoots good, then think about an aftermarket muzzle weight and a scope.
If this bothers you too much, then talk to your retailer and see if you can get the gun exchanged.

Ol'DeadEye:
I had the same problem when I received my D34P.
The front sight assembly was visibly rotated what appeared to me to be ~5 degrees to the right.
I removed the assembly and replaced it in proper position.
I believe it was not originally fully seated on the sloped cut.
I recentered the rear sight and all was well.
I've since removed the rear sight and installed a Williams FP-AG-TK peep sight.
My old eyes can't use notch sights.
jccams:
Hey Deadeye,
How did you remove the sight?
Lone Star:
I removed mine and went with a scope, just take out the grub screw and pull the front sight. Takes a good tug but once it's off you can feel how flimsy it really is.
