Norica Storm .22 VS RX .20

Not sure where to post this but what the hey? Was just curious as to how a stock Storm would penetrate a paperback book compared to an RX in .20 I had handy. The book, which was a cheap, poorly written paperback consigned to the fodder bin, was about 318 pages. At roughly twenty feet, both guns shot cold, the Norica put a Daisy pointed pellet cleanly up to about page 220, tearing and creasing to around 280. The RX, loaded with the Benjamin semi-pointeds (new black tin), well, I looked for the pellet but then realized it had completely penetrated. I'm not sure what either gun was shooting at (no chrony - got phone books and such) but I'm thinking the .20 was cruising well over 900fps. The stock Norica is probably around 700 or so, given the cocking effort. What does this prove? Not a whole lot except that almost shooting through a medium sized paperback seems plenty good enough for most small game at short to medium ranges. (Medium in my book is up to fifty yards, BTW.)
Back to work.
