Was just in a thread on the Yellow's Chinese forum and he says they are slowly running out of guns and parts. Might want to visit over there if you are Jonesing for a BAM.

Seems to be exactly that, Gene. According to Archer (Archer Air), BAM appears to be withdrawing from the retail market, instead supplying Crosman and Stoeger who will sell under their brand name. What will become of the Diana clones, I don't know. And the BAM40 will not be imported in any guise, although the BAM50/51 appears to be the Stoeger X50. One thing's for sure, the BAM guns won't be as cheap as they were from BestAir.

Boy Red, this is a sad note. I have owned and tuned many of the Bam line air guns and they are real sweethearts after tuning. This will definitely have an effect on the air gun community. My first R-9 was the a Bam B-26 and was a whole lot cheaper than the Beeman R-9. Great small game hunting air guns and for sure great plinkers at a great price.
I wonder if it is the growing popularity of the new Crosman models that has hurt Best Air. Allot of attention this year on the moderately priced Trail series air guns.

I seriously doubt it was from the competition. And BestAir was certainly growing in popularity since Mike took it over. Just a corporate decision on the Chinese's part. Guess they are feeling the effects of the global economy, along with everyone else.

That is too bad. But here's my question: Why doesn't Mike take a moment to post a comment here on the GTA? Why is it we seem to hear all of the current stuff going on with Mike second hand and from what someone is posting on the Yellow Forum? I should think that if Mike wanted his buds on the GTA to order up while they can, he might favor us with a post telling us what is going on.

In one of his posts he mentioned that he offered Bam to keep their product going and available in the U.S. To that he said they did not want me!
He also said right now he is still working with Xisco and see what he could work out. But your right he is not saying very much.

also seen he said bam wont be importing them here anymore but he is still working for xisico. bam is concentrating on there stoeger and crosman guns. so mabye they will carry a new line of guns. i know the b41 looks interesting but from what i could tell the only difference with the 40 is the stock. unless someone has more info on it.

If they do make the B41, and if it shares a lot of parts with the B40, that will help people who already have B40s. Otherwise it might be tough to get parts for the B40. As was posted, Mike already has no more breech seals for it. And I doubt Crosman will be stocking parts on a model they don't sell.

You can DL a catalog if you go the the Xisico site. They don't show a B41 but they do show a XS46U which I think is an upgrade to the B40. They also show the XS60C an upgrade to the B78/79....
But being in a catalog does not mean it will be produced.

Hey, I just passed on what I saw on the Yellow. Since Mike didn't respond here (and he has only posted there sparsely since this started), I figured you guys were worth a heads-up. Yeah, it's half scuttle-but, but that's all anyone has to go on until we hear it from the horse's mouth. Only the horse is still pulling his wagon, so to speak, and may not have time to slip harness and log in.
At any rate, the reality is, if you want a BAM from Best you had better hop on over there to see what's still available.

there is very little left from what mike says. and since bam will not be coming to the US anymore, we wont have a chance at the b41

I own a B50 .22 and she's a Hammer!! Bought it a few years back for a song before the Disco / Mrod craze. I let BigEd tune it and set it up to run 35 Fpe, that tune cost me 25 big ones.
Get'em while you can.
The trigger on the gun is so sweet.....it's less then 1 pound pull.
here's a pic
