I am back at work for a couple of weeks so I won’t get to get back to this for a bit.
My first step when I get home will be to install a sleeve in valve to drop the size down to a tune able for a .22.
Or
I also have a 1/16 twist 32 barrel (.312) barrel that I can use with existing valve size.
My original intent has been to design an electric/air/air that can control any size valve. I think I started with the wrong caliber/valve size combo.
What is a good .22 valve size?

FWIW .. in conventional valves for higher power .22 cal tunes have found @ .165" transfer to be ideal. Valve typically has a .25" throat while using .125" stem. In terms of area, throat has a tad larger area than transfer path.

Thanks, that’s what I needed.
I can just swap out my transfer port. Right now it’s a .25”.
Appreciate it,
Dave

Well I have 9mm transfer on a .223. Works just great.

Impossible just takes a little bit longer to achieve.

I made a new transfer port and it helped quite a bit. I am now able to tune up and down. Not as low as I would like though. I am going to do a little work on the valve to see if I can get it closing a little faster.
Since my valve is functioning, my next step will be to turn/chamber a barrel and modify a mold and cast up some slugs. Then I’ll return to this. This may take a while cause I’m distracted with another project at the moment.
