So I always keep a hand pump ready for late night or early morning quick top offs of low pressure guns like Marauders, Hatsans so I don’t waste the air in my tanks and to not make noise with the compressor. Do you guys ever do that? I guess it’s another tool in the arsenal which still gets used depending on the situation. No thank you I’m not hand pumping 300 bar lol

Umm I tested one last summer to make sure it still worked before sending off with my son.
I have plenty of stored air so never run out.

When I shoot my 1701-P pistol I'll use the hand pump.
Things happen pretty quick with the Y.H. compressor on that little tube size.

Nope, I have 2 as backup. One of them lives in a bugout kit with a 2k fill gun but, other than testing them when they first arrived, I've never used them.
4 compressors and 5 tanks. No need to hand pump.

Last time I pumped up a rifle it was my 500cc sumatra.25 rifle. Got it filled up to 3000 psi and went to vent the hose and the fill valve wouldn't close. It had about 2200 psi when I started filling but couldn't get the hose off until it was almost empty.🤬🤬🤬 I just did it just to see if I could so I guess I'll have to figure out if a male check valve foster fitting will close when I release the pressure.🤔
I have 2 compressor and 2 45 min tank and I'm off grid so I'm not affected by power outages.

I've been hand-pumping my guns since 2014. Wore out a Hill MKIII about 18 months ago and replaced it with a cheapo-from-China. I have a Gen 1 Marauder, an FX DreamTac (standard tube) and a 1701P. Even with a hand pump, I always end up closer to 3000 PSI when I am going for a 2800 PSI fill on that tiny 1701P tube. The others are admittedly a bit of work, but I've tuned the rifles for a decent shot count while limiting the amount of work I need to do refilling. I'm mostly target shooting and plinking and all my airguns are .177, so I get a lot out of these guns for the effort I put in. I have no plans to get a compressor any time soon.

Hello Mike ! I do have a small compressor that handles my Hatsan Factor & the Avenger bottle guns . My FlashPup , NP-03 & even my Bullvenger usually get topped off w/ one of my two Hill hand pumps. I use that as an excuse for exercise ! I keep a pump in my Toyota SUV when out in the field & only bring the compressor w/me when testing or extended plinking. I have rebuilt my original pump once ( 2018 purchase ). Slow is the way to go when pumping by hand . Note ; I am 65 , had a hip & shoulder replaced ,so everything is slower now !

I use my Chinese pump to pump my AEA Challenger up to 3,600 psi. Lordi, is it hard work, I mean seriously hard work. I'm looking now at an electric pump. My other PCP's with smaller tanks and lower pressures are a piece of cake, compared.

I hand pump with a cheap Chinese pump.
I am 79 years old.
I pump slowly and take breaks.

Only style filling I do. Fills my 220cc RTI bottle, Daystate Revere, Tiapan Vet standard, even filled a few out of date paintball tanks. Just throw a movie on and pump while watching tv taking breaks to let it cool. Can go longer sessions the slower you work the pump.

I use my handpump to fill my Bandito all the time, but it has a tiny 50cc tube with an aftermarket regulator. Using the handpump on the Stormrider is doable, but not the most pleasant thing. In the beginning I did use a handpump to fill our 500cc Eagle Claw, but I didn't shoot much because of that.

I got a compressor for Christmas. It worked 7 times.
Me and my Four Uncles pumped up the 1720 this afternoon.

I use the hand pump when shooting my discovery and maximus. 2000psi fill is a breeze. These are my favorite squirrel guns so I hand pump when in season. My other guns get filled with a tank. I've gotten lazy with age.
