That is impressive….and enough speed for back yard plinking/target/pest birds. We (as air gunners) generally have to chase something. Could be accuracy...could be power…..super quiet...shot count is just as valid a target as anything else.Know my days of blowing through a tin of pellets in an afternoon are gone (maybe it’s easier to do with springers...you miss more). Suspect it got noticeably quieter as well….can’t be using much air per shot. The “off vel shots” are fewer and not as far off (in percentage sense)...that will likely continue as it settles in to it’s new setting.-----------My “back door” rifle (the one that’s grab-n-go when I see something in my back yard that needs shooting) is an HPA covered QB79. Not that I need +200 shots per fill, but it’s nice to fill it today and perhaps not have to fill it again until Holloweenfdfbf51d-d42d-4390-bff5-5193c05b74bb by Robert Dean, on FlickrI ran out of serious concentration long before I ran out of shots.
I fell full on into “shot count *(&^”. Adding a Derin striker, adjusting springs, was at 375 shots and closing on 400 shots (quite low power shots)….when something terrible happened.SanitySame thing sooner or later happens in a power race….sanity takes over, and you realize you are setting off on a complex mod to gain maybe 3%
Update removed 4.5" barrel and recrowned. Still looking for a Chaser hammer spring.
Just installed a huma on my buddy's stormrider. Requires the gauge block front oring to be removed for venting. Also there is a gap between the gauge block and valve. If you don't make a spacer to fill that gap your reg is pressing the gauge block back under full fill pressure and the gauge stem is holding all that pressure so be careful.
Ok TroyHammer spacer width on mine came to 9.75mm is that close to what you got?
Yeah. I dropped the gauge block in without orings and the front oring groove was pretty much center of the hole so I measured center of the gauge hole to center of the oring groove and got pretty much that same measurement.
Got my BuckRail stuff ordered.
