From the inception of the GTA International Airgun Forums, there has been a primary theme that has driven every decision. The GTA is a “family” which sticks together through thick and thin. Though, our family may be large and many of our members come from around the world, we are still brothers and sisters in this small community of airgun enthusiasts. We learn from one another at the same time we are teaching one another.
Over time, the cold fingers of death have reached into our warm family forum and taken from us members who will be sorely missed.
It is the wish of the membership of the GTA to commemorate those who have gone from our midst but remain within our hearts. These names represent so many who have traveled the path of the shootist in many different ways and places. Though they are absent from our forum, their influence is still found in the many lessons we share with each other on this journey.
May the recognition of each name herein, bring to your mind those happy memories of how each of us has been molded by the shooters who have gone before us forging paths of training, tutelage and even technology. The words, posts, threads and gates exist because we learn best from those who care about us. So, to those who have gone from us, you have not been forgotten by us
.
MISS ME -- BUT LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little--but not too long and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the connection that we once shared, miss me--but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know
and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me--But Let me Go!

"Welcome to Tennessee, the patron state of shootin' stuff!" ex-Marine Gunnery Sgt. Bob Lee Swagger
"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks."
