I have seen topics on which the title has been changed. How is that done? TIA
-
As long as you're the original poster, just click the Modify button on the top right and type what you want in the title line.
-
Thank you!
I am changing the title.

I may be mistaken, but as far as I know (and I know it's the case on another forum on which I moderated at one time), the body of the post can be modified, but the title can't.
If that is the case, you'd need to contact one of the mods to request a thread title change.
I will find out for certain and post back if that is incorrect information.

Craig.....could you do me a favor and try to modify your title on this thread? I am curious now- :D.
-
I don't think it is limited to the original poster... but instead, this will only be seen on my reply since I am not the OP
I have modified my own in the past and yes, you must do the first original post, not later on in a reply

Lizzie,
As you can see in two posts above, I was able to modify titles.
But,
Either I have lost all comprehension of the working, or my poor vision has deteriorated even more, or some thing has changes. I have no "Reply" or "Modify" buttons on the post I want to change. I do have these buttons on other posts I have made.

Okay.....thanks guys!

Hey Craig, is this on your post in the classifieds?
You can not reply or modify those, you must use the "report to admin" button. (it's in the classifieds rules). I know from experience myself. ::)
I think it's to keep people from commenting one way or the other on your add. Too many forums I see people chiming in with negative comments on price, shipping, or payment options.

Yes, that ad. Thank you! ;D
-
Craig on classified ads you only have a very narrow time window to modify a post before it requires a request through the report this post. You cannot go back in and make changes hours later.

Thanks!
